Lisa Chen, MA, LMFT
“Therapy is where high-achievers can finally lay down the armor—without losing their edge.”
Before founding Lisa Chen & Associates, I spent years navigating the intensity of corporate boardrooms and high-pressure industries. As a former executive and marketer, I understand firsthand the demands, isolation, and relational toll that come with high achievement. That experience continues to shape the way I work with leaders, couples, and professionals today.
I built this practice with the same discernment I once brought to executive strategy—curating a team of therapists who embody both clinical excellence and deep emotional attunement. My goal has always been clear: to create a boutique therapy experience where clients feel seen not only for their struggles, but for the extraordinary weight they carry.
In my own clinical work, I integrate advanced modalities—EMDR, Internal Family Systems, DBT, IFIO couples therapy, PRT, and the Gottman Method—to help clients move beyond survival mode and into lasting transformation. Whether meeting in my Hermosa Beach office or through secure telehealth, I offer a space where high-achievers, creatives, and couples can lay down their armor, reconnect to themselves, and create meaningful change.
